Cubain Cabeya from Congo Kinshasa and BANTOUE MENTALE band, comes here again striking with some great KINSHASA Electro vibes, together with Dj Ben Bella from Montparnasse Musique.

Ben Bella is a DJ and producer who draws influences from the gnawa music of his North African roots and a diverse range of Sub-Saharan sounds from musicians he has worked with over the years. Most recently he has been touring Europe with West African band Les Amazones d’Afrique.

Traveler musician, Cubain was a part of some magic combos like Staff Benda Bilili, Mbongwana Star, Africa Express, Kokoko, Batuk, Bantou Mentale & Damon Albarn. Hi is a pioneer, always present in the bands of the Nouvelle Vague in Congo Kinshasa.

Je suis musicien congolais qui évolue en Europe, precisement en France. Je suis batteur, bassiste percussioniste et producteur de musique en studio. Batteur et arrangeur dans le groupe Staff Benda Bilili, batteur et basiste dans le groupe Mbongwana Star. Batteur et percussioniste dans plusieurs projets de Damon Albarn, notamment avec Habderrame Sissoko. Créateur du groupe Bantou Mentale. Actuellement je collabore avec Palenque Records.

Depuis le Congo, les Bakongo nous envoie des vibrations pour regler ce monde a la maniere scientifique.

Like so many others, this came like a bolt out of the blue and, even though it's well before payday, I had to have this astonishing album on vinyl to prove it exists. The feel of the tunes makes me feel like the Impressions do, Curtis Mayfield, the big spaces and instinctive horns and stuff drifting in and out. Great grooves and I can see lots of ghosts nodding along to this with big smiles on their faces. At last! Anthony Cottrell
